Who says you can only have fun in the sun! With the weather overcast from the time we arrived to rain on the Saturday and sunshine on the day we departed (typical) fun was had by all. Leaders had a wonderful opportunity of being one of the kids, playing in the mud with them, and being part of the action. This, amongst others, included a rather wet team building exercise where teams where to finger plug holes and fill the pipe with seeping buckets of water. Needless to say; we were drenched from head to toe and the only wise thing left to do was to jump, clothes and all, into the pool. In this way the rain was no hindrance to us either. We carried our theme “you win or lose by the way you choose” throughout the weekend, maintaining good spirits regardless of the weather. One of the many highlights was that we got to write our very own original song. The Saturday concert was once again a roaring entertaining success, from wimpy ads to hip hop; there were even those brave enough to impersonate some leaders. All in all it was a fun filled weekend with the message loud and clear; forever imprinted in their hearts and minds: Galatians 6:7 “Don’t be fooled, God is not mocked. You reap what you sow”
